Speedfab was founded in 2022 by Tom Morris as a design and prototyping haus with CNC plasma cutting. What began as a side hustle in a 40‑ft container quickly grew into our current workshop in Matangi, Waikato. Tom’s career spans farming, machine fitting, system installation, followed by system design and herd-data development for a major dairy OEM. Those agricultural skills and resources form the backbone of Speedfab, while a passion for innovation is what truly sets us apart.
Tom has a passion for helping bring ideas to life, with a keen eye for detail and a well rounded skill base. His industry experience is built on 14+ years of design, fabrication, product development and diagnostic work in the dairy industry.

Speedfab’s core values are Communication, Innovation and Quality.
We serve a wide range of clients—from velodrome cycling components to car-wash cabinetry—providing design, rapid prototyping and fabrication. Our role is to turn ideas into production-ready solutions, adding DFM so volume manufacture is viable when required.
We also make automotive and bespoke race-car parts for tuning and tech-integration projects. Operating from our on-site workshop lets us tend printers and machines closely, meet tight deadlines, and give every project the attention it deserves.
